Details:
Jodie Goldney and myself (Georg Mertens or Mertens-Moussa 1990-2002) played first concerts together in 1992.
These concerts seemed to be an astonishing experience for the audience. They had never heard a recorder played like that, alive and capturing.
We were asked numerous times during the next decade when we would play together next time - which was impossible because of the distance where we lived.
As soon as we moved closer together we decided to compile this CD and start performing together again.
The compilation shows the recorder in all its variety, from the sopranino to the bass recorder. Music includes middle age dances, Renaissance songs to contemporary compositions.
This CD includes first recordings of my composition "Multicultural Suite" (incl. Arabia Nocurna and Didgeridoo) and https://www.tradebit.comrn''s "Salad Undressing".
Inquiries about the scores are welcome.
Jodie was born in Bathurst (Australia), did her Amus diploma at the age of 16, and did later a masters of recorder at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Georg was born in Aachen (Germany) and studied cello and guitar at the Hochschule https://www.tradebit.comik at Freiburg. You find here his sol cello album: Music at Jenolan Caves, his guitar album Re-issued, and a CD with the Paganini Duo: Blue Mountains Gypsies and with the Blue Mountains Trio: Music for Grand Dining.
Our next concerts are: Jenolan Caves, 12 Nov, 3 Dec, both Sat 4pm.
