Paul Waring and Al Strong deliver an album of rich and velvety guitar textures and distinctive vocals. Together with the solid rhythm section of bassist Jimmy Klemenz and drummer Scott Mills, The Bad Daddys bring home the bacon with unwavering sonic hardpan and melody to spare.
Engineer and co-producer John Dyer aided the band in creating a good time sounding collection of songs that is unpretentious, and laced with elements of blazing guitar work and lyrical dynamite.
The single “Ain’t Got the Time” is a soon-to-be rockin’ blues classic. It speaks directly to anyone who has had too much to drink, too many disappointments and not enough cash. “Puttin’ Me Down” with its'' soulful riff and dark lyrics explores the moodier side of the band as they comment on life and relationships.
Bad boys inevitably become Bad Daddys. As teens, these guys devoured the blues recordings of Buddy Guy, Howlin’ Wolf, Freddie King and Stevie Ray Vaughn. This new recording offers a solid and creative sound inspired by their experiences and working class demeanor. With an unyielding rhythm section and a pair of vintage tube amps, The Bad Daddys create a gritty sound that sizzles and burns!
