Details:
At age eighteen, Art Ruprecht took up the guitar and hasn’t put it down since. As one of the most respected musicians in the St. Louis area, his varied influences range from Ricky Scaggs to George Benson . When area band leaders are looking for a versatile player, they are apt to call on Art to meet their need.
Starting out his career playing bluegrass, Art developed speed and agility on the violin, mandolin and banjo, as well as the guitar which would serve him well over the years to come. Warming up for the likes of Pure Prairie League, Earl Scruggs and Vassar Clements, Art moved into other styles, especially the jazz/R&B genre working for Galaxy Productions, Encore Entertainment, Phoenix Entertainment, Prospect Records as well as many others primarily based in the St. Louis region. Benefiting greatly from Berklee School of Music courses, Art increased in technical knowledge while developing a unique style.
Together with wife Nancy, they are an inspirational force as evidenced in their 2003 studio release, “All Is Well.” From live worship services, concerts, to a variety of party venues, Art and Nancy provide a high level of musicianship and wide range of styles.
Since the first quarter of 2007, Art has had five songs air on The Weather Channel’s “Local On The Eights” segment, and is working with Platinum Music of Great Britain, as well as a pending deal with LGN Entertainment Distribution for the Smooth Jazz CD, “At The End Of The Day”, and The Music Library of Studio City, California.
