MP3 Michael Warner - Journey to Ganymede

A jazz/rock journey with a Roland guitar synthesizer.

10 MP3 Songs
JAZZ: Jazz-Rock, ELECTRONIC: Nujazz

Details:
I was born in 1955 and have played guitar from 12 years of age and jazz/fusion from 28. I have played the Roland Guitar Synthesizers since 1987 and I think I have developed a technique with this tool. All of the layers of the music are played by me. The drums are programmed, but every other apparent "instrument" is played as a "live" track (as distinct from played with the mouse) using either (1) A Gretch slimline with synth (2) Ibanez George Benson jazz guitar with synth (3) Fender Strat or (4) Gibson E175 with the synth. Can you believe that, on the day I got the Gibson home, brand new, I drilled straight into the body to fit the synth. Ouch!

What does a guitar synth sound like?

Sometimes you wouldn''t even notice it, ''cos it can sound just like an orchestra of strings or a flute (eg. track 10. "She''s a nice girl") or vibraphone or trumpet or saxophone; but other times you can create really wonderful spacey-techno stuff (in most of the tracks of this album). If you haven''t heard the synth, I hope you enjoy this introduction to it. I think it''s the instrument of the future (if ever guitar players lift their heads above grunge - sorry guys).

Otherwise, let the music stand up for itself. If it''s good enough, you''ll buy it and tell your friends. Thanks for your time. Michael Warner, Victoria, Australia.
