“From Baroque majesty to Brubeck to Gershwin, this was a concert that obviously pleased the large audience, if the three standing ovations are any indication…The trumpet and horn, so resonant and perfect in their sound, together with the piano and Bacon’s arrangements created a full and magnificent ensemble…This was a superb trio…”
- Robert Ellis, Times-West Virginian October 2006
The musical fusion of French Horn, Piano and Trumpet and a brilliant tenor explodes into an extraordinary fourth personality…BRASS ROOTS TRIO. Brass Roots Trio has created a new sound for the 21st century!
Pianist Rosetta Senkus Bacon, trumpeter and flugelhorn player Travis Heath, and French horn player and tenor Douglas Lundeen have demonstrated their prodigious talents across the country and around the world with performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.; Avery Fisher and Carnegie Hall in NY; the Banff Centre in Canada; cultural centers of Taiwan and Lithuania; the Guinness Jazz Festival in Ireland, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, and orchestras and symphonies in England, Switzerland, France, Germany, Japan and Costa Rica.
"The Brass Roots Trio thrilled our audience with their opening selection, and then, it just got better and better! Each performer''s musicality and technical mastery of their instruments was simply astounding, and the ensemble they create is top drawer.”
