Details:
Night Crow is a Nashville based alternative country band whose core musicians, Freddie Brown, Paul Porceddu, and Marie Brown, have played music together for nearly ten years. The band''s live performances showcase the band''s original material, as well as country and rock standards. Night Crow''s influences include Hank Williams Sr. and Jr. Waylon Jennings, Dwight Yoakam, and Neil Young.
Freddie Brown began his musical career playing music in central Texas and its surrounding areas, and developed songwriting and performing skills at venues at the Fort Worth Stockyards. He relocated to Los Angeles where he was a featured artist at the Palomino, the D.J. Ranch, J.R''s and on Paul Bowman''s biweekly radio show. Freddie formed Night Crow in 1994, and as part of the group he sings lead and harmonies, plays harmonica, and also plays acoustic and lead guitars. He writes most of the band''s original material, and records and produces the band''s music on his Wheatfield Records label.
Marie Brown is from California. She has performed at various clubs in greater Los Angeles, including the Palomino, the D.J. Ranch, J.R''s, and on Paul Bowman''s radio show broadcast out of Redondo Beach. After she relocated to Nashville she joined Night Crow, and shares lead and harmony vocals with Freddie and plays electric bass.
Paul Porceddu honed his fiddle playing craft while he performed with orchestras and chamber groups in Florida. He briefly relocated to Georgia where he played bluegrass and Cajun music. As part of Night Crow, he and Freddie experiment with instrumental harmonies and effects during their lead playing that creates an original music experience fans love.
