If you can somehow take in a Hartwood show without being entertained , you plainly have a stick up your ass.
And if you have yet to see Hartwood, you have never seen anything like them. Imagine an outlaw country band with no respect for any existing musical boundaries, anybody''s feelings about it, or for the authorities. Hartwood will not apologize to anyone for anything. Those that do not enjoy Hartwood''s brand of entertainment are welcome not to attend Hartwood performances.
However:
If you are looking for a truly unique and intense entertainment experience, you are invited to attend, and would serve yourself well to do so!
When you see Hartwood, you never know what you''re gonna get, but it is always over the top. Slipping effortlessly from originals to country standards to equally country treatments of material by Iron Maiden, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Frank Zappa, Alice Cooper, and the Geto Boys, Hartwood will keep you both guessing and thoroughly entertained. If they''re really feeling it, they''ll perform "Foggy Mountain Breakdance"... exactly what it sounds like! Certainly not your average country band...
and a far cry from "cowpunk", Hartwood stands alone as the last of the true outlaws.
When not performing or recording, the boys can be found cleaning firearms, stock-piling ammo, and waiting around the compound for the big government-provoked standoff. These peaceloving Americans love our country, but fear our government. Hartwood wishes to encourage you to think for yourself and trust no politicians. Look after your own freedom because your elected officials aren''t going to do it for you. Remember Kent State, Ruby Ridge, and Waco.
