Hi, I''m Diana Rose. Thanks so much for checking out my music! “Diana Rose” the CD, is my debut album, which is super exciting for me. Having been a songwriter for the last 5 years, and a singer for much longer, it’s so cool to finally have a product that showcases my songs and my voice. It’s indescribable really.
I grew up listening to a lot of Country as well as Christian music, so it only makes sense that much my music tends to lean in that direction stylistically. Over the past couple of years, however, I have been exposed to several other genres of music, such as Jazz, Blues, R&B, and Funk. This exposure has definitely influenced my approach to writing, which I think shines through in my debut album.
No matter what style or feel I assign to a particular song, the lyrics are what give life to my music. The key to writing good lyrics, in my opinion, is being authentic. This is why I never write in an attempt to sound like someone else. Instead, I say exactly what I want to say, exactly how I want to say it. Sometimes I’ll come across as sassy, sometimes as tender, but in all cases I’m honest.
Bottom line—songwriting is my life, and as long as I am living I will have a song in me waiting to come out. I hope you enjoy listening to my music as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it.
