Details:
this record was my first solo record and was also a tribute to a few good friends of mine.i met two fellas out in oregon(eugene) back in the early summer of 92 named bobby gard and david geminente. bobby (when i knew him) was a great blues guitar play''in tramp. him and david were travel partners at the time. david''s from milano italy, speaks 5 languages fluently and was (or is; i hav''nt seen him in ten years dispite visiting his brother in milano in an attemp to track him down) a sort of international tramp. he had lived a seemingly beautiful , drunken and spiritual existance in a number of https://www.tradebit.come of those are india ,nepal ,all over europe ,hawaii ,morracco ,etc. when i met them we all clicked and spent the next six or so months traveling around the west coast together. sometime in the middle we hooked up with an older fella named robert tait whom everone calls "freeway". i was 19. bobby was 24. david was 39. freeway was 50. but we all got along like young school mates fucking off during recess. we were bums. we never had jobs. we shared everything. we hung around in one town or another till we got board (or the weather got cold) and then jumped a train to the next place. in arizona that winter , i reluctantly parted with my newly found soul mates to go home for christmas. it was never the same again. i hav''nt seen david since. bobby, whom i was very close to, i saw a couple times while passing through oregon and des moines ,but seemed to be somewhere between born again and too drunk(i hav''nt seen him in at least 5 years).freeway, well him and i are still close allthough he lives up in eugene oregon.
this record was sort of born from those days.
i hope you injoy it. and if your reading this bobby or david, give me an email or come down and visit me in austin texas.i would love to see you again.
ciao,
jim k
