WHAT THE PRESS HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE "BIOPLAZA" CD:

"Brilliant beyond measure, and yet criminally overlooked... How does this work, people? How is it that Testube isn''t spoken of with the same reverence as Skinny Puppy? The material is that good, let me assure you." ~ StarVox Webzine

"This release is nothing short of phenomenal in a genre of old, washed-up Front Line Assembly clones. It has lasted every test I''ve thrown at it, from pure concentration to playing it as background music. And by far it passes the most important trial of all: time. I swear by Bioplaza. It''s a joy to hear." ~ Grinding Into Emptiness

"''Amazing'' doesn''t begin to do it justice." ~ Base Asylum

"Testube will soon be a band that you compare other bands to. Bioplaza is a CD that you will keep coming back to. Each listen reveals something new to the listener. The variety of avenues explored on this release make this is a must have CD for your collection." ~ https://www.tradebit.com

"Testube encapsulates everything that is best about the potential of dark elektro/industrial/dance music." ~ The Kettle Black

"Everything''s on here...the old-classic EBM-beats, influences from people like Aphex Twin or Plaid who gave dance music a total new face, those typical distorted voices in pure Skinny Puppy-style, dancebeats (very New Order and 808 State at times!) that makes it all very accessible music, aggressive beats a la Wumpscut and I could go on and on..." ~ The Original Sin

"A more perfect album to drive a car really fast to has not come along since the Sisters of Mercy’s First and Last and Always. This album gets two thumbs up and a slushy!!!" ~ Totenklage Netzine

"It''s quite obvious while listening to this music that Jeff Danos likes to experiment with a lot of different sound layering techniques and effects. The end result is interesting and enjoyable electronic music that you will want to listen to over and over again." ~ Wrapped In Wire

"Bioplaza is possibly one of the best CDs I’ve heard this year, and to have it come from a self-perpetuating artist without a label''s intervention makes it seem all the more incredible. Bioplaza is a true original that I guarantee you won’t be disappointed with." ~ In Faction magazine

"Fans of Skinny Puppy, Noxious Emotion and those into a cross of gothic-medieval melodies and dreamy electronic-body-music will adore this." ~ Blatant Propaganda

"BIOPLAZA comprises of electronics with an emotional and eclectic approach; ambient-trance-like synthscapes, techno-inspired drum-n-bass/jungle breakbeats, industrial-driven noises, ebm force, some hidden references to Germany''s cosmic music and the darker sides of the moon. All mixed up with nice and skillful programming and a very good and clear recording quality." ~ Chain DLK

"Testube is easily better than the host of crappy SP rip-offs on a million indie labels nowadays. That alone says allot." ~ Interface Magazine

"I didn''t hear previous albums of Testube, but this one is definitely one of the industrial highlights of the year 1999. And thanks to such bands as Testube, Americans really can compete with Europeans and can even win." ~ MG Magazine Russia

"With their impressive sonic quality, and varied and interesting songs, Testube is definitely worth the extra effort to seek out." ~ Outburn Magazine

"This album rulez. I love the music very much and it is one of the albums you can listen to very often and always discover new details." ~ New Empire

"This was a real nice surprise in my mailbox... Testube (aka Jeff Danos) is new for me, and his fourth release from this Denver based act is amazing." ~ Electroage Canada

"This is definitely one of the underground albums you need to check out this year." ~ The Plague

"The state of the EBM scene as a whole has gone downhill in the past few years, but Testube, on the other hand, continues to get better and better." ~ Grinding Into Emptiness

"If you like bands like Noise Unit, Beefcake, (a hint of Delerium-type ambiance) and early FLA all mixed up in tasty dish of twisted electronic ear-food, don''t wait to order this CD." ~ Last Sigh Magazine

ABOUT THE BAND TESTUBE:

Introduced in 1994 as one of several experimental audio projects of Jeff Danos, Testube wasted no time in developing a reputation as one of those rare electronic acts with a surplus of unpredictable and innovative ideas.

After several self-released cassette/CDR releases on his own United Endangered Front record label from 1995 to 1998, Testube followed in 1999 with his first widely distributed and highly successful Bioplaza concept disc. Quickly capturing the attention of deejays, the music media, and discerning listeners across the globe, Testube was signed to DSBP RECORDS in late 1999 to release the full length remix disc Reconstructive Surgery in 2000. Featuring diverse remixes by PAIN STATION, BIOPSY, TRYLOK, B!MACHINE, THINE EYES, ONEIROID PSYCHOSIS and other innovative electronic artists, Reconstructive Surgery quickly infected clubs and radio stations across the globe.

Reconstructive Surgery remained in the CMJ national RPM top-20 charts for six weeks, peaking at the number 4 chart position in September 2000, alongside electronic contemporaries THIEVERY CORPORATION, JUNO REACTOR, and A GUY CALLED GERALD. Responding to requests from die-hard Testube fans for more music, TESTUBE and DSBP RECORDS also released the limited edition Bioplaza Revisited disc in late 2000, featuring additional remixes and previously unreleased tracks. Jeff then returned to the spotlight by applying the Testube remix treatment to songs by BIOPSY, NOXIOUS EMOTION, THINE EYES, PAIN STATION, DIVERJE, B!MACHINE, and the highly anticipated LEAETHERSTRIP single titled Carry Me.

After three years of obsessive studio immersion, intense sound manipulation, and frustration with the direction of modern music, Testube and DSBP RECORDS then presented the highly controversial CD titled Corporation. Offering an inside look at the dysfunctional clockwork of the "American Dream" and its dependence on corporate anti-justice, Testube''s sound crept even further into a gray area that knows no stylistic boundaries or limitations.

After several relocations and a bit of soul searching, Testube has returned to the studio and is planning another full scale attack on the current confines of the experimental electronica paradigm. Testube withdrew from DSBP Records in August of 2007 in an effort to pursue new channels of exposure.

TESTUBE mixes glitchy precision edits, experimental rhythms, dysfigured melodies, and multi-layered textures to render a unique sound experience with few comparisons. Armed with a plethora of tech-bending ideas and a hunger to re-instill the values of individuality, improvisation, and ingenuity in an often languid music scene, Testube is focused on presenting both a captured and live experience like no other.
