“Stamping out these symbols of sacrifice is the first step to forgetting who’s kept America free and what’s made America great”
The Alliance Defense Fund, The American Legion, and Liberty Legal Institute have chosen “What About Arlington” as the song to represent their national effort to defend and protect America’s veterans’ memorials from potential legal attacks from groups such as the American Civil Liberties Union.
Jami Grooms is proud to be involved in such a noble cause as defending the rights of all Americans to honor our fallen hero’s as we choose. This was the simple foundation this song was based on when Shane King called Jami with the idea. Charlie Craig was more than willing to help in penning this song. “It was a newspaper article Shane had at his house, and we just read it in disgust,” said Grooms. “The headline said “What About Arlington”, and had a picture of the crosses lined up in Arlington Cemetery. The words just fell out from point. We are very proud of this song and what it stands for”.
ADF is a legal alliance defending the right to hear and speak the Truth through strategy, training, funding, and litigation. The American Legion is the nation’s largest veterans’ service organization, representing 2.7 million wartime veterans.
