Details:
Never thought in a million years I would be releasing a second CD only a year after my first CD came out. Will wonders never cease?
I just kept coming up with new song ideas and I kept recording more songs til suddenly- I had enough to do another album! And here it is.
My standard bio is pretty much the same, except that I’m a little lighter on funds now after having spent all my fun money on these CDs:
• Since 1966, I’ve performed at festivals, dinner theatres, concerts, corporate events, and hundreds of nightclubs, resorts and hotels all over the country.
• I also performed on tour with The New Seekers (Georgy Girl, I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing) for four years.
• During my career, I’ve been fortunate enough to have opened the show for such greats as Paul Butterfield, Jan & Dean, Cab Calloway, the Spencer Davis Group, Bo Diddley, The Kingston Trio and many more, but probably one of my most memorable moments was singing the National Anthem at Yankee Stadium in front of 40,000 crazed baseball fans.
• My first CD Songs About Stuff, released in early 2007 has been played on 45 radio stations in 15 different countries.
Doing my time on the road and just the experiences of life in general were enough to plant the seeds for a few song ideas.
I don’t really write love songs or songs about shattered relationships. For the most part, I write story songs. Most of the stories in my songs are true, things that either happened to me or my friends and acquaintances.
They’re stories that I think are worth telling and I hope folks think they’re worth listening to.
An observation regarding my 1st CD- Songs About Stuff. Apparently I don’t write “instant gratification” type songs and several people have told me it took a few listens before they started to enjoy the CD. So in a nutshell, if you only play the CD once, you might not care for it. So please give it a couple of chances. Thanks.
