A Blast From The Past Says Top Nashville critic. Southern Country Rockabilly at it''s best. Oakridge Boys harmonies are felt in most tunes along with a feel of old Southern Rock. Singer/Songerwirter brothers give that family feel to this album.

COUNTRY: Country Rock, COUNTRY: Country Blues

Details:
Born and raised in Southern California. Wes and Don Elwell are the two youngest boys of ten children. At an early age, they lost their father to a heart attack and were raised by the oldest brother and their mother.

Wes and Don''s mother was musically gifted and raised the children in a Christian environment. Since they had no television, many nights were spent sitting around singing hymns. At an early age the boys were asked to sing at special services at a small chapel the attended in Pomona California, giving them a good start for their musical talents. In 1982 their mother passed away, probably their #1 fan, but with a lot of love and support and family closeness their musical interests grew.

Both Don and Wes moved to Phoenix for several years before settling in Portland, Oregon. Both married with children, Don has his own trucking company and Wes a carpentry business. However, the past five years they were encouraged by family and friends to pursue a recording endeavor. Wes''s wife had bought him a guitar for his birthday and he started writing songs. To cheer up his wife one day, Wes wrote "What About Me". Don recorded it and local radio stations started playing the tape. The Elwell Brothers teamed up with and West Records in 1992 for a national release. From the "On The Right Track" CD/Cassette album, "What About Me" received a tremendous response from radio and held for 5 weeks on Gavin''s Up & Coming chart and reached the top 20 of the Indie Charts.
