Meet the staff at The Company Store:

Paul "Most-Paul" Muller is a mighty big man, and plays a mighty small instrument. His big fingers sometimes find their way to the right string, at the right time, but then again, even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while. Having invented the motto "Don''t Work Too Hard", Paul practices what he preaches by having such an able staff, allowing him to spend time with his friends from the animal kingdom, and other delicious entrees.

Don "Doc" Golladay: "Golladay" comes from the French and we think it means (roughly translated) "Honey, this bass fiddle followed me home. Can I keep it?" His highly specialized hobby of teaching math has endowed him with the skill of playing those 1''s and 5''s (or "6''s", when simplified). Doc dispenses liberal doses of music and humor "over the counter."

Sheriff Doug "Shack" Shackelford, having grown up in Virginia, knows how to take life slow. When he''s not napping, he''s got a banjo on his knee. In fact, he owns several banjos, and he''s stuffed a sock into each one. This partly explains the universal mystery of the missing odd sock. Some folks think the banjo might sound better with both socks stuffed into it, but we disagree.

Marianne Lampert is the co-founder of the Central Virginia Chapter of the Banjo Players'' Wives Support Group. Being married to a banjo player, she has survived a severe case of second-hand banjosis, and thanks to a 12-step recovery program, has developed immunity, which is a good thing seeing as how she stands next to Shack when we pick an'' sing. She lives up in the Blue Ridge but comes down for the fiddlin'' an'' fun to sing and strum her Huss & Dalton guitar!
