On their latest release, Discolite, the chameleons in Boulevard are shedding a layer of their rock ‘n’ roll skin for the elegance of synths and drum machines. With help from some friends (remixes by Dan Geller from I Am The World Trade Center, NYC’s DJ Japanster, and Winston Electric), Boulevard moves further along its trajectory, expanding the band’s influence, sound, and vision.
In December of 2005, Boulevard’s Vice & Daring went to college radio, becoming 8th most added in the first week. Vice & Daring, an EP with no label support, out-added Death From Above and almost out-added The Darkness who debuted at #7 on the CMJ charts. In May 2006 Boulevard won the Zig Zag Live competition sponsored by CMJ and Spin Magazine. Summer 2006, Vice & Daring remains in the Top 40 in the UK on SKY Channel 0155 and Pulse Rated. With this kind of response from both fans and the industry alike, Boulevard relocated to New York City in 2007 to pursue a more modern, progressive sound.
