Voz de Mano was created in 1994 and since then it has been one of the most consistent and accepted bands in the United States Spanish rock scene. Voz de Mano strictly performs original songs, with every presentation and rehearsal, each members musical influences combine to make the bands distinctive sound. For this reason its musical evolution is constant. Voz de Mano has shared the stage with many international Rock en Espaol bands such as Fobia, Maldita Vecindad, Cafe Tacuba, La Lupita and most recently Jaguares. The band has participated in major Spanish rock festivals in the United States such as Revolucion 95, and Wateke 96. Other major presentations include SXSW 2000 and Midem Americas 1999. In 1997, Voz de Mano participated and won a Telemundo sponsored Latino talent contest. In 1998 Voz de Mano released its first full-length album, Ruta Satelite, which was named Best Independent Album of the Year by both La Banda Elastica, and Retila Magazines. The album has also been praised as a must have album by many Latin music publications in the United States and Latin America. Voz de Mano was named as one of the artists to watch by BAM Magazine. Finally, in January of 2000, the major Mexican music magazine Switch named Voz de Mano as one of the artist for the new Millennium. In 2002 they release "Polen" to much critial acclaim for their innovation in sound and songwriting. With Polen on their side, they were able to tour all over Latin America and the States. Voz De Mano will always be considered on of the pioneering bands of Spanish Rock in the US.
