The songs on "and Love" came from my desire to think about love in a number of different ways. So, I wrote different music and lyrics in different styles and am happy with the cross-section we achieved.
Also, on "and Love" I didn’t want to record a bunch of long songs if my thought about love was a brief impression rather than a full story. So, I didn’t.
I hope you enjoy "and Love." If I were to sit with you while you listen for the first time, I might introduce you first to the opening song, “Hey Baby Baby Baby”—a real rock-and-roll blast—and the last song, a seasonal favorite, “Snow’s Falling (Like Christmas ’62).” Then, I’d say, “let’s listen to the entire CD.”
That’s what I’d do, all right, if I were there with you,
Dr. T.
