Details:
Stacy Raynes plays the violin on this CD. She is a graduate of Pleasant View Christian Academy and is currently a junior at Tabernacle Baptist College in Greenville, SC. She has studied piano and violin since she was four years old. She now enjoys teaching others, especially students with special needs. In September 2006, when Stacy was twenty years old, she suffered a life-threatening rupture of a capillary in her brain. This CD project is a testimony to the goodness of God as He mercifully spared her life and allowed her to continue to use the musical gifts He has trusted her with. Truly, He is Jehovah-Rapha, the God Who heals.

Natalie Raynes plays the piano and cello on this CD, and she arranged each of the compositions. She too, is a graduate of Pleasant View Christian Academy, and she is currently in her first year of studies at a local community college. In addition to music and speech, she enjoys writing, editing, and proofreading, and has been able to use these skills to be a blessing to other Christian authors, including her pastor. She studied piano for thirteen years and has won numerous awards in piano competitions. Natalie is a gifted singer and arranger, and she has recently begun to write vocal music.

Adam Raynes played the bass on this project. He too, is an accomplished pianist and has won many piano competitions. Adam has used his strong musical background to teach himself several string instruments. As graduation nears, he is anticipating what the Lord has in store for his future.

On this recording project, the older three musicians are joined by their sister Emily (violin) and their cousin Caitlan Hardin (viola). The five join together in beautiful harmony on Sweet Hour of Prayer a song which pays tribute to the family’s rich heritage of the country church and old-time religion.
