Details:
"Every song on Autumn is about change in some respect," says singer Ryan Very. "We wrote this album during a time in which the band was undergoing a lot of changes. My personal life changed as well, and initially I tried to fight it, but then I just accepted it. Thats what this record is about."
Produced by Walter Ino of Secret Asian Studios, Mark This Day could not be more proud of Autumn. The band strikes a balance between mature melodic ballads and their roots, that is, drive-oriented rock on their sophomore release.
Mark This Day still knows who they are and where they came from. This is evident in the powerful title track, "Autumn" and the gritty guitar in "Wasted". The heartfelt ballad "Believe Me" demonstrates a newer, more intimate side of the band.
One thing is clear. Autumn succeeds at keeping Mark This Day true to themselves while demonstrating positive growth.
