Five time fiddle champion Johnny Daniels resides in Nashville, Tennessee. His love for entertainment began at the young age of 17 when he played on his very first radio show on WCLA in Colonial Heights, Virginia. 6 short years later he had his own 30 minute radio show on WEVA in Lawrenceville, Virginia. Johnny went on to become a member of the Old Dominio Barn Dance and then the New Dominion Barn Dance from 1957 to 1960. Sharing the stage with the great Sunshine Sue in Richmond, Virginia. In 1959 Johnny recorded one record with Don Reno and Red Smiley in Roanoke, Virginia. By 1965 Johnny had experienced radio, performing in stage and the local club scene; it was time to experience the only thing left, television. From 1965 to 1967 he fiddled and co-hosted a TV show with Joe Martin and the Smokey Valley Boys shown on WXEX TV channel 8 in Petersburg, Virginia. 1968 Johnny Daniels moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his musical dream. Since the move to the music capital he has appeared on the Little Roy Wiggens Radio Show, Smilin'' Eddie Hillsttow Show, has won over 60 fiddle conteset, appeared with a number of Grand Ole Opry Stars, won numerous awards and released his first CD the Living Legend. In 2003 he hit the height of his career when he started his own TV show at CATV channel 19 in Nashville, Tennessee. The highly sucessfull 30 minute Bluegrass Show has become the number 1 rated Bluegrass Show in Nashville. The Legendary Johnny Daniels Bluegrass show can be seen 7 days a week on CATV. Each and every show features the house band, The Passing Lane BLuegrass Band and some very talented guests. The show has generated thousands of phone calls on the now famous 1270 number "615-889-1270" and a steady flow of cards and letters are received from fans daily. Johnny Daniels followed his dream and love of music that has proven to be a sucess. He has gone from Petersburg''s hometown boy to a Nashville Living Legend of his own time
