Dwelling in the bowels of Chicago''s underground rock scene for years, a good chunk of Brownstar''s membership eventually migrated to the ''deserts'' of Tempe in ''96. There they formed the core of a few musical outfits, variously, but it wasn''t until the current trio was reunited in ''01 that Brownstar first began to rock as it does. Aiming to revive the underground and leave a brown streak on the local music scene, Brownstar has let loose a slew of tunes on their ''04 debut, Turn Up The Brown, and now is back with their sophomore release, The Deuce.
