Both English-born, John Roberts & Tony Barrand have been singing folksongs together since 1969, after they met as graduate students in Ithaca, NY. Singing in unaccompanied harmony, or with concertina or banjo, their entertaining style has delighted audiences at major festivals and venues such as Fox Hollow, Mariposa Folk Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Old Songs, Mystic Sea Music Festival, to name but a few.
"Live at Holsteins" was recorded at the famous folk venue in Chicago hosted by the Holstein brothers. A selection of convivial songs, with lots of audience participation in the choruses, helped by generous libation.
