Mark House is part of a generation of singers who draw on an eclectic range of genres for material. He is comfortable singing many styles including classical, jazz, musical theatre, adult contemporary, and gospel.
He is a founding member and vocalist with the award winning gospel group Celebration. He is also well known as a soloist at many church and community related functions throughout Atlantic Canada.
Mark has had leading roles in several musicals such as The Pirates of Penzance, Crazy For You, Camelot, & My Fair Lady. He has also had solo engagements with The NSO and The London Symphony Orchestra.
His love for choral music has allowed him opportunity to sing with many community choirs such as The Newman Sound Men’s Choir (winner of the Galaxie Canada Rising Star Award 2006), Cantus Vocum, MUN Chamber Choir, and The Quintessential Vocal Ensemble. He was also founder and director of two acapella vocal ensembles called Mark & The Moonlighters and House Blend that were featured at the international choral showcase Festival 500.
This fall, Mark released his first gospel solo effort as an artist. It features some prominent Christian Contemporary recordings as well as some original compositions. These songs are certain to warm your heart and stir your soul. This recording is the culmination of a lifelong dream that he is honored to share with you.
