Krack Free Media started in late 1987. The band members were Swift-C, K-Rock, DJ Science and DJ Smiz. They were one of the first Hip-Hop bands to surface in Scotland. Around 1991-92 the band went their seperate ways. DJ Smiz (aka Krash Slaughta) went on to join "II Tone Committee" another top Scottish Hip Hop act, and Swift-C left to join another band. DJ Science and K-Rock (aka Kryptic) kept the name of "Krack Free Media" and continued to work on material. Eventually after a few years they decided that creating music had to take a back seat due to other personal commitments. However due to re-emerging interest in their music, Swift, Kryptic, and Science have got together again and are now currently working on new material to be released in 2008.
