MP3 Tony Berdych - So Many Doors
Thought provoking songs that paint images about hope for this world, relationships, faith and family. Innovative style combining pop, classical and country with a Christian flavor. Think Josh Groban meets Tim McGraw.
Details:
At a very early age Tony Berdych knew that music was to play a major role in his life. At four years old he made a guitar out of an old cigar box, a piece of wood and some rubber bands. During his childhood he frequently visited his neighbors house in Detroit to plunk out songs by ear on the piano. He started playing the guitar at 10 years old and the piano officially at 18. As he got older he knew it was time to take music seriously and pursued a degree in vocal music studying with a prominent classical voice coach in Michigan, which helped develop his dynamic vocal abilities.
Tony has always had the desire in his heart to share with others what he has learned from his keen sense of relationships and how our lives are affected by events in the world around us. Locally sharing his incredible vocal talent and diverse musicianship for the past several years has led him to his ultimate purpose in life; writing dynamic songs with universal appeal.
Tony’s songs are not too vague or too deep to enjoy. He combines easy to understand, every day language with incredible fresh sounding melodies to express emotions about common issues we all experience like love, peace, loneliness, and hope for the future. You don’t have to work hard to enjoy his music; all you have to do is listen.
The reason Tony’s songs are so unique and dynamic is because when writing his songs he knows his vocal capabilities and doesn’t limit himself. He certainly has a sound and style all his own. To give you an idea think Josh Groban meets Tim McGraw.
Whether you like country, contemporary christian, or just easy listening music, one of Tony’s songs will capture you and never let you go.
Listen as Tony tells his story:
For many years I have been sharing my musical talent in local churches as a minister of music. I am humbly thankful for the gifts God has given me and have always chosen to use them to serve Him. It has been very fulfilling leading songs in worship, directing choirs and singing at weddings and other liturgical settings. Seven years ago I was looking for a new song to sing for the Christmas service and just couldn’t seem to find the right one. I felt something inside prompting me, “Why don’t you write one?” I attempted to write songs in the past but each time I did, I felt I didn’t have what it takes. For some reason, this time was different. I took a pencil and paper and the lyrics began to flow, one line at a time. It was as if someone was giving them to me. When I was finished I read it and I was amazed at what I had just written. I‘ve never written anything like it before. Then again I heard that interior voice say, “I gave you the lyrics, now you set it to music.” Needless to say I worked at the song and used it for the Christmas service that year. That was the first and only time anything like that has ever happened to me. It was all I needed though to show myself that I could indeed write songs. Looking back, I know without a doubt that God was taking me down a new path in my life. For the last seven years I have been writing and recording songs. This new path has taken me to Nashville three times and to L.A. in the past few years. God has opened doors for me that I could never have opened myself. I never set out with the idea to release a CD. He has guided me every step of the way and the release of “So Many Doors” is where this path has led. My prayer is that at least one of my songs touches your heart and brings you closer to Him as you walk down your path in life. I’d love for you to sign my guest book and let me know which songs touched you the most. God Bless!
