Redefined – To take a person, object, thought or action and change or manipulate into something completely new.
This is true to British hiphop/RnB duo ReDefined both in character and vision! Hailing from the south of England, their faith has redefined their characters in such a way its left them with a mission. To infiltrate the club culture with a positive message. “To get down and have a good time, but to do so in a manner that is both respectful to yourself and others around you”.

Working with some of the best producers in the UK, ReDefined have quickly established themselves as a pioneering, individual and refreshing force aimed at the UK club scene.
Both artists, Dean ‘Deano’ Russell and Holly ‘Solo’ Snooke joined forces in 2005 and instantly clicked after previously being in other groups and bands. Since then they have continued to grow spiritually and musically into a well oiled, fun loving, truth speaking, and soul penetrating machine.
Now is the time to change your perspective about how to have a good time, and get down to the sound of ReDefined!

Working under the production direction of 29th Chapter’s Dave ‘Phonetix’ “Redefined” put out an EP representing pure British talent. The title track is a mid-paced cut where their UK street accents come through in its entirety with a good helping of bass-powered synth effects.

There are two versions of “Brand Nu You”, the original is your more standard Urban-beat affair. The remix, however, dabbles in the ‘sampling factory’ with some runaway old-skool beats and Latin-Funk horns. It all gets wrapped up with the fourth and final track “Hope” which is overlaid over a dreamy beat and calm piano playing.

As duo there is a definite musical connection there and with further development and additional outside production credits, Redefined can look forward to securing a steady album release.

They sure are funky, and as loud and proud as you can expect. Their eponymous track sets out their mission very well, but the real nuggets here are the other tracks. The remix of "Brand Nu You" is right on the money, with its De La Soul-esque backline. It''s so funky that even David Cameron might get jiggy with it, and surely even he would approve of the lyrics. Holly really lets rip on "Hope" and sings her heart out. Her singing on this track is brilliantly complemented by D:No''s rap. Definitely an act to look out for.
