Details:
Ploma Drive hails from Seneca, South Carolina and was formed in 2004 by long-time friends Cody, Michael, Kyle and Brad. With Cody singing lead and playing rhythm guitar; Michael on lead guitar, Kyle on bass and Brad on drums, the band began jamming in Michael''s garage and soon started looking for a name. The search for an interesting name needn''t go any further than the street on which Michael and Cody lived - Ploma Drive. Unbeknownst to the band at the time, the "Ploma" in Ploma Drive was named after Michael''s great-great aunt (this kind of occurrence is commonplace in small towns).
After several local gigs, the guys decided it was time to record an EP. The band had the good fortune of being from the same hometown as Atlantic-recording artist Needtobreathe and benefited from having Seth Bolt (bassist for Needtobreathe) engineer their records at his Plantation Studios. Following an onslaught of gigs, including shows with Needtobreathe and Corey Crowder, the band decided to record some of the news songs that the fans liked best. Thus, under the engineering mastery of Seth Bolt, was born the "Address to Remember" CD. Touching on subjects such as life, death, love and moon pies, "Address to Remember" is sure to include something for everybody.
