COUNTRY: Country Rock, ROCK: 50''s Rock

Details:
Recording artist DK Davis first made his mark on the music scene when his video, "I Fought the Law (and the Law Won") garnered 1st place at the Music Video Awards in Chicago. It continued to enjoy extremely long airplay on TNN''s Video Country as well as numerous international broadcast stations in Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Brazil, Thailand, and the U.K.

DK''s Billboard charting records "The Last One to Know," "All Alone," and "I Fought the Law" all received Bilboard "Picks." These successes opened the door for Davis to work with such varied artists as Tyrone Davis, The Drifters, Del Shannon, Gary Puckett, The Crystals, The Coasters, Carl Carlton, Bobby Bland, Bobby Rush, Coco Taylor, Jerry Butler, Lou Christie, Paul and Paula, Leslie Gore and Fabian. DK also toured county and state fairs performing on live radio broadcasts for Chicago''s WGN.

NOW - DK Davis embarks on the next phase of his evolving career to bring his unique sounds of combining conventional elements with the influences of country swing, rock ''n'' roll, rhythm & blues, and rockabilly. He has worked with such diverse songwriters as Gary Puckett, Jim Peterik (of "Eye of the Tiger" fame), mainstream Nashville tunesmiths Byron Hill and Paul Dolman; and most recently, with Emmy-winning song writer Ed Tossing on DK''s hit single, "As One."

Recording in Chicago, Los Angeles and Nashville, and drawing on the considerable talents in those cities, his new recordings bring a breath of fresh air to the constantly changing music scene. Backed by a traditional rhythm section (with a full string section on ballads), DK''s use of brass adds a "punch" to his sound.

His hit song, "Return to Sender," won him several awards including "National Dance Song of the Year" and "Highest Ranking New Artist of 2002." It climbed to #9 on the national music charts.

DK and his studio band, The Sharks, are now touring together. The Sharks lend a high caliber of musicianship to every show that DK performs. Together, DK Davis and The Sharks are a crowd pleaser everywhere they perform.

Davis''s latest single, "Don''t Cha Know," has enjoyed top 30 chart action in nineteen European countries and Australia. It is also getting fantastic reviews in the States and is moving up the regional and national charts. In the past 18 months, DK has had regional, national and international recognition with his last three singles: "Return to Sender," "As One," and "Don''t Cha Know."

DK''s on stage energy and charisma are the icing on the cake to this exciting total package. His enthusiasm and excitement are contagious and it is impossible not to get involved with what he is doing. With his new release, new sound, and proven track record, DK Davis is poised to join the ranks of the superstars in recording, radio, television and on the concert stage.
