BIOGRAPHY
Formed in December 2000 shortly after Canadian vocalist Claude Robillard arrived in Spain, Daze of Dawn wasted no time making an impact on the music scene. After only 4 short months, the band released their first entirely self-recorded and produced CD: Shinjuku in June (the title inspired by Claude''s experiences while living in Japan). From generating airplay on major national and local radio, to winning them 1st place out of 800 bands in a Spain-wide contest to play in FESTIMAD ''02 (one of Spain''s largest international rock festivals), Shinjuku in June was the springboard that sent Daze of Dawn to the next level.
Thier first studio release: "Puppet Heads" (K-Industries - Barcelona, Spain - Fall 2003) is a truly inspired project with inarguable quality and timeless appeal. Receiving rave reviews in the national press, Puppet Heads also secured the band a live performance on national spanish television (TVE 2 - Los Conciertos de Radio 3 - Dec. 2003), an acoustic spot and band interview on Spain´s hottest international rock show (Bienvenido a Paraiso with Carlos Pina), and got them invited to play VINAROCK 2004 - Spain´s largest national rock festival. Recorded at RPM in Valencia Spain, mixed by Claude and the D.O.D. boys themselves, and mastered in the United States at DRT Mastering, "Puppet Heads" has no doubt made many a top ten "desert island" album picks.
