MP3 Colie Brice - Luna Muse
I adhere to a creative philosophy I call the "Luna Muse" Principle. Its based upon "crazy inspiration". Just as some Native Americans consider themselves Song Catchers rather than Song Writers, I have a penchant for recording annd writing spontaneously

Luna Muse is my latest wacky, self indulgent collection of original repertoire. Primarily intended for digital distribution through iTunes & other paid download services, only 5 copies will be recorded directly from my hard drive to 24 karat gold Ultradisc CD-Rs from Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab. Each copy will be autographed and numbered by hand... Thank you for your support! I am extremely grateful to the iPOD community for buying miTunes :) - Colie Brice
I had considered releasing two albums - New Mexico to signify music of enchantment and New Hampshire to signify music of freedom.
Instead I put everything under a big umbrella called "Luna Muse" a.k.a. "crazy inspiration" - the creative principle I try to live my life by.....
Track Descriptions for Luna Muse:
Clarity - woke up one morning and something was quite literally wrong with my eyes. They were all crusty and nasty looking, and I couldn''t see well. For whatever reason- crazy inspiration I guess, I tried to hold on to my emotional center instead of freaking out. I wrote and recorded "Clarity" on the spot. Its about holding the course even when things go wrong.
Shaman - was an electronica improv from 1993 contemplating the scene at Shake down Street - the vending village that accompanied the Grateful Dead on tour. Its a mystical, tribal, call to arms... Gathering, ritual music...
Fidelis - a Springsteen, "Streets of Philadelphia" style narrative rant addressing my thoughts and misgivings about the current state of affairs in America. I quote famous American documents, songs and literature in an attempt to remind people of the true American Spirit of Freedom and Justice. The guitar melody rips off "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" as a call to unity and action.
Baghdad Falling - I wrote this after watching the iconic moment when Saddam''s statue fell to the ground. Yes he''s an evil dude, but it seems the Iraqi people and their land suffer either way. How many civilians have we killed- including innocent children? Iraqi is also in what was ancient Mesopotamia, the cradle of civilization. What Archeological treasures have we decimated?
Another Day - cheesy tune I wrote when I was 18. Its about faith in the divine carrying you through even when "things ain''t easy right now". My wife Manuela sings back up...
Guided By Voices - a cool indie rock tune inspired by Jordan Lee of Candland Riots! who is the ultimate GBV fan!
Free and Clear - a song about overcoming insecurity and fear and choosing a higher path.
Live On Faith - featuring my daughter Brianna on backing vox, the song is precisely about what the title implies. Has a cool island/calypso feel...
Everything You Are - an affirmation to all I love
Road Trip - cool Americana Western tinged instrumental featuring a very cheesy old accordion like electric organ. great for driving through New Mexico:)
See the Beauty All Around - as the title implies, heartfelt acoustic recording...
Satania - a humorous Barry White tribute inspired by the same chick who inspired "Discovering Joy" from my Chameleon album.
Come On Baby - mid 90''s attempt at dance music, I should probably stay away from this genre :)
Heavenly Peace - a cosmic lullaby composed for my daughter.
Me 3 - an exploration/tribute of U2''s late 80''s mid 90''s sound. Trying to figure out that Edge vibe.
Better Way - another antiwar rant
Confusion - sister tune to "Clarity"
Love Is So Blind - pop demo, sugar sweet
Revolution 9 Tribe - a sloppy, funfilled train wreck exploring my new electronic drum kit
Roque Audio Experiment v1.0 - sonic weirdness...
