Details:
The words charismatic and innovative are necessary to use when speaking of Honduran-American Latin/ Pop/Rap music recording artist and producer “Michael Ramirez.”
The charismatic and dynamic MC astonishes listeners with his distinguished voice, roller coaster-energetic flow and sophisticated, passionate lyrics. Nicknamed the "Knight of patience and perseverance,"
Michael Ramirez blends the sound of both the new and old Latin hip-hop, with Reggaeton music in his independently released singles and album.
Born Michael Angelo Ramirez, Michael Ramirez (formerly known as Kooba) was raised in the projects of Newburgh, N.Y. He first stirred up a local buzz as a performing artist, producer and songwriter in an independent music group called Latin Domain. During his time with the group he was able to write and produce a 1996 single release Latin Domain, the group''s 2001 album release Dark Ages, a 2003 maxi-single self-entitled and most recent Latin Domain''s 2005 self-entitled album El Fin Del Principio.
And there''s no stop to his momentum. Instead, Michael Ramirez personifies spirited energy, picking up strength with every second, minute, and hour of each day and expanding his already substantial loyalty to the music world.
Although Ramirez first desired to grow as an individual and keep moving forward in both music and life, his musical dreams were set-back by an unfortunate fatal accident that struck him deep in his heart; he lost his best friend of 7 years. Two years later, Michael would be devastated by the lost of his mother due to illness. She was his support and inspiration. After these incidents, he found his only refuge was to pour both his heart and mind into music while still taking care of his two younger siblings. It was then that he sought the help of guitar player and R & B singer Pete Velez and music engineer / CEO of Basement Track Studios Rodney Santiago to bring his musical imagination and creations to life.
As a result, Michael Ramirez’s achievements are set to earn him a permanent place in the music industry - with 2007''s Feel My Flow; he inducted an underground genre into the mainstream. By incorporating Reggaeton, R & B, Rock and Rap, Michael has become the first Reggaetón artist to achieve such a creative piece of music. A piece that enlightens the listeners on what it takes to be a winner.
Another of his other cutting-edge ideas can be found in Spanish Fly and Caliente, performances reflecting a genuine positive attitude to his roots of Latino people encouraging them to never forget who they are, and where they came from. Combining guitars with a mixture of soft rock and acoustics, r & b vocals, hip hop lyrics, and reggae / reggaeton beats, this song is a prime example of Michael Ramirez''s pioneering ability.
In 2007, like any “music mogul-in-the-making,” Ramirez continues to fulfill his tireless potential, always remaining true to his roots and himself. He always keeps with him the memories of his mother and best friend to keep inspiring him to be resilient in the face of any of life''s adversity until he reaches the top.
