Details:
Jesse Beck comes from a musical heritage which started back in the late ''40''s when his aunts and uncles played as The Beck Family, doing music and acrobatics,( a strange combination I know). As a young child, his grandmother''s house was usually filled with singers and pickers , including Fred Mckenna, Vic Mullen, and Brent Williams, stopping by for a meal or a place to stay while they played in his uncle George''s band. This influence stayed with Jesse and his siblings, and eventually lead to the four of them playing a lot of music together.
After 6 years as a drummer in his Uncle Murray''s band, it was time to venture out on his own, and the next years were spent playing in various dance bands along the South Shore, with the most popular being the group "Private Collection".The music always kept a country edge, and writing also became an important part of the music. This lead to the release of an album of all original material.
All of this brings us to the present time as Jesse has just released his first full length country cd, "Back From Nowhere".
