Details:
Since Chris Gray hit the Louisiana/Mississippi Gulf Coast music scene in 1997, he has been tearing up the Clubs, Casinos, Fairs and Dance Halls across the United States with his highly acclaimed shows and ever increasing loyal fan base. He is truly a world traveler; he has performed from Japan to Australia and from Iraq to Hawaii. His first CD release, "Honestly", launched a career that started out with a few local clubs and radio stations, and has been a non-stop roller coaster ever since. In just the first year, Chris won the local, state and regional True Value/Jimmy Dean Country Showdowns (now know as the Colgate Country Showdown) and appeared on national TV at Universal Studios, Florida. His first big break came when he opened for George Strait, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Mark Wills, The Dixie Chicks and Martina McBride at the Louisiana Superdome for George Strait''s "Straitland Festival". This got Chris''s songs spinning on the radio and opened a lot of doors.
Chris has since played such venues as the House Of Blues in New Orleans with David Allen Coe, The Howling Wolf in New Orleans with Keith Urban, shows at Mustang''s Saloon in Slidell, LA with Brad Paisley and John Conlee, shows at The Texas Club in Baton Rouge with Merle Haggard and Tracy Lawrence and various Louisiana festivals opening for Mark Chesnut, Andy Griggs, Alabama, Diamond Rio, Ty Herndon and Kenny Rogers. Chris now headlines many Louisiana/Mississippi festivals.
Chris teamed up with award-winning video producer Eric Straton of Galaxy Entertainment to film his first music video for his song, "Red, White, And Blue", which he wrote while serving aboard the USS Missouri in the Persian Gulf War. The video aired on GAC in medium rotation and is still being played.
In 2003, as a member of the CMA, Chris was selected as an artist to have a signing/meet & greet booth at Fan Fair in Nashville at the Convention Center. This exposure on the national level put Chris in a position to network with top Nashville songwriters, artists, producers and agents. In the spring of 2004 Chris began recording his second album with Grammy Award winning producer, Ron Cornelius, and a cast of "A" list Nashville studio musicians. The CD, "From Where I Am" released in February, 2005, immediately caught the attention of independent record label, Mirrome Records, and Chris Has completed his third album to be released in June, 2007 on the Mirrome Label. Some tracks from his second album went to number one on Indie World Charts and charted on Music Row. Chris has not only been playing the club venues but Colleges and State Fairs also.
