Details:
Skiks, a.k.a. Bruce Hamilton composes and performs music in a variety of genres. He has performed as a percussionist, improviser, and electronic musician for over 20 years. A co-organzer of BEAF (Bellingham Elec. Arts Fest.), Hamilton currently teaches composition, theory, and electroacoustic music at Western Washington University.
The Skiks project is particularly concerned with constructing electroacoustic/pop hybrids that resist classification. 72 Miniatures is a psychedelic romp, combining and jumping between styles.
For live shows, Skiks presents an eclectic mix of electroacoustic composition, ambient music, beats, improvisation, and video.
