Details:
The MIDNIGHT SERENADERS'' debut album "Magnolia" is a recording inspired by the blues singers, crooners, and hot jazz ensembles of the 1920''s and 30''s.
The MIDNIGHT SERENADERS are a group based out of Portland, Oregon performing vintage small orchestra music from the the early 20th century, unearthing and reinterpreting many long-forgotten songs from this music-rich era. Their repertoire consists of Tin Pan Alley jazz and blues flavored pop songs, crooning ballads, dance numbers, as well as sweet Hawaiian instrumentals.
The MIDNIGHT SERENADERS bring together six accomplished musicians who have, over the past decade and in other musical genres, made their mark on the Portland music scene. Featured are DOUG SAMMONS - guitar & vocals, HENRY BOGDAN - Hawaiian steel guitar, DEE SETTLEMIER - vocals & ukulele, PETE LAMPE - upright bass, GARNER PRUITT - trumpet, and DAVID EVANS - clarinet & saxophone.
