Details:
Early in 1990, Mike Garner released his first solo effort entitled "Playin'' House". It was a mixture of rock, country, pop, power ballads, and there was even a little bit of a Caribbean feel thrown in too.
Now, after 13 years as leader and bassist of the popular roots rock ensemble The Sylvester Brothers, Mike has set out on his own again and put together this new solo collection that is the end product of years of writing and arranging.
This new CD contains 11 songs written by Mike, 2 more co-written with his writing partner (the lovely JoAnn Radovich on "Phoenix" and "''Round ''Round ''Round") plus 2 classic favorites!
Mike also played all the instruments and sang all the vocals on the CD (except for some terrific piano work by Jack Kraft on "The Telephone Song"). And, once again, he has looked to cover a number on genres that give this CD such a wide variety of feels. A full 60 minutes in length, this CD has something for everyone. And just like The Sylvester Brothers'' "Like It Was Meant To Be", this is a great car CD to pop in as you are cruisin'' on down the road.
We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it.
