From the liner notes:
Recorded over the last five years, ''topsy turvy'' actually represents a musical partnership spanning three and a half decads -- and as a result you''ll hear a unique, tight, and intimate sound throughout the dozen tracks presented here. For most of my life, I''ve thought of myself as a guitarist, even though my first instrument was a chromatic (a.k.a. slide) harmonica. However, in recent years I''ve turned this notion on its head (along with my picture). These days I live and breathe the slide harmonica and am fortunate enough to be accompanied in my obsession by the talented singer and bassist (not to mention my most favorite person in the whole world) Penny Hanna. Together, we explore some great music -- mostly in a duo context. There are generous helpings of swing, jazz ballads, and slide harmonica soul. We hope you enjoy it all!
