First Recording Bach at 10 years old, Betsy Grant Has won performance awards and competitions nationally and internationally for more than 20 years.. She played Gershwin as a young piano soloist with the Columbia Artists’ Young Americans tour, and performed for Aaron Copland and Jose Iturbi before she was 20.
As a young artist, Ms. Grant presented a solo recital in Santa Monica, featuring music by Bach, Granados, Bartok, Copland, and Debussy. Her critically acclaimed Morgan Theatre recital in 1975 was sold out in advance. Her performance credits also include a solo performance of the Prokofieff Piano Concerto No. 3 in C major, Op.26 with the Texas A & M University Orchestra, and she has been a soloist with the Brentwood Symphony, Los Angeles Concert Orchestra, Rio-Hondo Symphony, Metropolitan Symphony, Palisades Symphony as well as many others.
