Instrumental Rock Guitar music based on the life of Jesus Christ. Rock Meets The ROCK.
7 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Instrumental Rock, ROCK: Classic Rock
Details:
Maurice Ulmer and Dan Lively team up again to bring you seven songs which seek to glorify the Lord. In these Rock instrumentals Maurice lets his guitar do the talking, I mean singing!
These songs were recorded at Lively Sound Studios in Lewisburg, WV. Dan Lively handled the recording duties as well as played the Kent electric bass on each track. Dan contributed to some of the percussion you hear.
Maurice handled all of the guitar parts with his Fender Telecaster and also wrote these songs of praise. Dan and Maurice share the lead guitar work on track seven.
Notes on the music:
Track 1- If you listen carefully you can hear the angels singing through the guitar melody, “Come and see Jesus, Saviour of the world.” The final notes tell us, “A bright star shines tonight.” (Matthew 1:18-2:1-6)
Track 2- An interpretation of The Temptation of Christ with discordant notes and a driving beat as Satan tempts Jesus.
Jesus prevails and Satan departs. The guitar line seeks to show the give and take of their confrontation. (Matt.4:1-11)
Track 3- Here in the Triumphal Entry the rhythm symbolizes the crowd’s interest and excitement about Jesus. The guitar calls back and forth, “Here comes the Messiah, here He comes.” Little did they know of His mission.(Matt. 21:1-11)
Track 4- A lamentation with Jesus asking the question of the Father, “Is there any other way?” The weight of what was about to happen lay heavy upon Him. (Matt. 26:36-46)
Track 5- The Love of God exemplified by Jesus dying on the cross for our salvation. Hear the guitar sing, “See the Saviour, He loves you so. See Him on the cross where His blood did flow. Heed His call, heed His call! Can you feel the Love of God?” (Matt.27:32- 28:19)
Track 6- Hallelujah! Christ Lives and Reigns, He is Lord above. He is the Lord of Love. A song seeking to sound majestic and powerful. My best effort is still inadequate to describe the Lord who is clothed in power and majesty, who lives and reigns forever. (Revelation 19:1-10)
Track 7- In this tune you hear pure joy in the beat and in the guitar work. No matter what we can take comfort that “Yes, Jesus Runs Things Around Here.” He holds us in His embrace and our times are in His hands.(Romans 8:28-39)
