Over the years, HellaMinik has provided a new and exciting musical outlet for the Hip Hop headz of the Twin Cities. They were recently nominated for the "Best Kept Secret" award at the first annual Twin Cities Hip Hop Awards. A true honor indeed, however HellaMinik isn''t a secret as much as it is a growing force in the International Hip Hop community. In December of 2006, Miss Kay, a very beautiful and talented artist/producer, released her Freedom of Movement album which included a track featuring HellaMinik. They were chosen out of many national hip hop artists through a Myspace contest hosted by Miss Kay in May of 2006. Of all the entries, only HellaMinik had the style and talent that the Executive Producer of the album was looking for. The CD is available on an international scale and provides many people and a growing fan base around the world to hear the explosive lyrical talent of Hella-Cik and Hot Minik.
