MP3 Retic - Saturn Day Trajectory

Melodic electronic headphone music. Assumably genre-free, but most closely associated with: IDM, electronica, beat-driven ambient and experimental.

12 MP3 Songs
ELECTRONIC: Breakbeat/Breaks, ELECTRONIC: Experimental

Details:
Melodic, sometimes glitchy, sometimes breakbeat-style electronica/IDM/otherwise unclassifiable electronic listening music, introspective and atmospheric harmonies accompanied by a mish-mash of subtle and occasionally pummeling rhythmic sounds/structures. Retic is Douglas Teike, originally from Indianapolis and currently residing in San Francisco.

What is it that causes you to nod your head uncontrollably, induces euphoria, and can even make you see the world through rose-colored glasses? This artist hopes to tranlate these type of experiences to every listener. Music that recalls a sense of playfulness and a childlike naivete, often veering into dark and mysterious places, and always attempting to clear new territory and find an original voice in today’s music landscape. Serve chilled with headphones.

A genre clash if you will: experimental, ambient, hip-hop, impressionist, romantic, pointillist, post-classical, post-rock, but most certainly electronic at its core, and always keeping harmony and juxtaposition as a focal point and a building block. Sometimes pristine, often raw, broken, and decaying...

This is a CDR release with full artwork, ideally suited for headphone listening. Produced by Douglas Teike and mastered by Twerk (Audible Oddities) in San Francisco. Each jewel case and all the original artwork is lovingly assembled and printed by the artist.
