Sauce
Sauce is a danceable Jazz + Funk fusion band of five sophisticated young musicians from Wilmington, Delaware. Their original compositions draw on influences from hard bop to The Dead – with a nod to the Nickelodeon theme music on which they were weaned – but Herbie Hancock, Fred Wesley, John Scofield, Soulive and Greyboy Allstars are the main ingredients that Sauce cooks. Not your local neighborhood garage band, this (mostly) instrumental group has a following in the sub-commercial youth music scene in the Delaware Valley. Kids don’t stand still when Sauce plays, and twenty-to-thirty something oldsters exclaim: those boys are good! If your dancing shoes are nearby, give the amazing demo a listen. This accessible jazz is of interest..
