Details:
Of the seven CDs I''ve made over the years, this is my favorite. It''s got country, country-blues, folk, and a touch of bluegrass on it. I wrote or co-wrote all the songs but one. My friend Don Cook (producer of great acts like "Brooks and Dunn") wrote "Wish I Had a Bottle". The wonderful "The Lord''ll Provide" is an old folk tale that was set to music by my friend Larry Reynolds. This cut is my arrangement.
The opening tune "Hank Williams is the King" was written after hearing Waylon''s "Bob Wills is Still the King". I didn''t mean any disrespect to Bob Wills or any of you Texas folks who might read this--I love Bob Wills music as well as anyone. However, I was born and still live in the same county in Alabama where Hank was born, and believe me, down here, Hank Williams IS the king.
The title song "Still Loving You" was on two of Sammy Kershaw''s CDs. Randy Travis cut "Where Can I Surrender" and The Oaks cut "The Absence of Love". This could have something to do with it being my favorite project.
I hope you''ll take a few minutes and listen to some of the tracks. And, just maybe, add it to your collection.
Thank you,
Rock Killough
