Since childhood, he has been gifted with the ability to sing. Since the beginning stages of adulthood, he has been called to minister. The time has now come to witness the culmination of the two.
How Much You Love Me is the debut release from an artist who is new to the music industry as a solo recording artist, but a veteran when it comes to the ability to reach and heal souls through song. Piano training in high school and formal vocal training in college, refined his natural ability and afforded him the opportunity to record with such celebrated artists as George Duke, Paul Jackson and Kirk Whalum, serve as the opening act for a Fred Hammond showcase and has perform along with the Nashville Symphony amidst many other opportunities. But perhaps what further solidified his mission in music was the opportunity he had to serve as Praise & Worship Leader at Born Again Church, in Nashville, TN, which is presently his church home.
"My direction is to minister to both the young and old because my music is a universal invitation to the move of God. There are expressions of love, pain, determination and victory in Christ and on all levels this is expressed in my music. The vision is to expand beyond the scope of music and develop and outreach that would encompass an experience with God."
Such songs as Zion''s Praise, a traditional praise and worship song with a personal twist, He Did It For Me, a celebratory testimony in song and How Much You Love Me, a personal reflection of Nashon''s conviction and commitment expresses the endearing love that the artist has for both the gift and the Giver of song. Alongside the precise production of Dana Reed and talented artists including Ann McCrary, Gayle West, Jerard and Jevan Woods and others, this newcomer has more to offer than simply sound lyrics and a beautiful voice. Nashon has the innate ability to cause you to empathize with his love for Christ and commitment to the ministry, no matter where your personal convictions lie. His songs go beyond temporal pleasure into one''s personal faith in Jesus Christ. He would have it no other way.
"I don''t think I''m a gospel artist, I''m a worshipper. I am called to be a husband first, a father second and then a man of service to the world, especially those around me. I have a heart for those who are within the church walls and by making God top priority in my life. I am able to reach people in church who do not have a clear understanding of what it is to worship---through word and through song."
