Singer/songwriter Dan Barbeau together again with original Basement Party drummer John Fitz and harp man John Batty-Slyvan; new members Slappin’ Jack Spade on the stand up bass, Loryn Barbeau on backing vocals, Thomas Geraldizo on drums and Dave ‘the knave’ Knerler on guitar, reform The Basement Party, 80''s greats on the San Francisco music scene for a new CD of original songs titled Requiem for a Rockabilly.
Upon completion of the disc they immediately disband and go back to whatever it was they were all doing before Dan rang.
Produced by the original Mr. Risky, Michael Barbeau of late great label Risky Records (Toxic Reasons, Personality Crisis, Chrome…) this 10 song outing is just the right mix of rockabilly, country and Dan’s singular song writing style.
You will enjoy this, but if by some small chance you do not, you still have a very fine photo of Dan suitable for framing or carrying in your pocket until it is a worn out, wound up wad you can’t make heads or tails out of.
