ABOUT THE ARTISTS -
MIRINDA JAMES - American Family (1), Climbing Up Mt. Everest (4), & Hey Cowboy (6). James brings to this CD her blue collar roots through her soulful delivery of her songs. Co-penning American Family, Mirinda James delivers an emotional anthem of who we were and what is happening to the American Family. Produced by Clyde Brooks in Nashville - Climbing Up Mt. Everest and Hey Cowboy are haunting reminders of James’ real life struggles with love and perhaps the “cowboy” that will “rope the moon” for her and “ride away”. Mirinda James has toured throughout much of the US and Canada, appearing with Charlie Daniels, John Anderson, Mark Chestnut, Willie Nelson, and many others. She has released several albums - notably “Whatever Happened”, whose single release “Give Me A Man” garnered airplay on over 400 stations across the US. Her EP release of “Baby I Need You” crossed over to the pop market with over 50 stations in the northeast adding it to their play list. James was also picked for a PolyGram Records compilation called “Lost Voices” in a tribute to Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison. Fans may contact Mirinda James through her website - https://www.tradebit.com.
MACKENZIE COLLINS - A Single Rose (2). As the youngest singer on the “Angels of the Heart” album, MacKenzie is a 13 year-old entertainer from Albany, New York. MacKenzie gives A Single Rose the tenderness and emotion of a teen - determined to find her father, the man who left her mama “A Single Rose”. A diamond in the rough, MacKenzie continues her quest for stardom; training in guitar, piano, theatre and dance. Keep an eye out for this artist on the Nashville horizon.
LAURI TRAVIS - Back In Baby’s Arms (3). Lauri brings back to fans the Patsy Cline chesnut with straight ahead country style; complete with twin fiddles for a southwest kick. Travis grew up playing and singing in her parents band around upstate New York and Vermont while still in her teens. A songwriter as well, Lauri has recorded previously in Nashville, also performing at Ernest Tubbs’ “Midnite Jamboree” and at the famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge. Here’s a country girl that doesn’t need reinventing - she’s the real thing!
EMILY SMITH - 4 Wheel Drive (5). This feisty 16 year-old from the Mohawk Valley region of New York tempts a boy into taking a ride with her in her “4 Wheel Drive”. A bit of teenage infatuation and humor in her delivery, the boy only has to worry about her Daddy - and his shotgun! Emily loves performing out with her guitar and band, “Midnight Sun” around the north country of New York State, at festivals, coffee houses, and clubs. Country fans will want to have a copy of her first album cut.
COLLEEN TRENDELL - Just So You Know (7). Colleen started recording in grade school, but now this grown up tall blonde is nicknamed the “Country Wild Child” after her last EP release by the same name received airplay in 45 states, on her co-written single - “Happy Hour”. Trendell connects with this ballad, as she meets her old flame and small talk turns emotional. She finds she “can’t let go” of her feelings, and describes her life to him - Just So You Know. Born in Schoharie Valley Farm Country of Upstate New York, Colleen Trendell is making waves in new country as she pushes her edgy delivery on stage and in the studio.
BARBARA DUGAN - Keep It Up (8), & Remember The Best (9). From the uptempo advice to her beau Keep It Up, to a more serious song - Remember The Best, Dugan handles each song with ease with her mature vocals. Even in the studio, you can picture her on stage. After a stint in professional theatre in her teen years, Barbara fell in love with the stage and later began singing at weddings and county fairs in upstate New York. Her dream is to one day sing on stage at the Grand Ole Opry, and her first foray into the country recording industry puts her a little closer to the brass ring.
RENEE LUSSIER - Somewhere In Love (10). Growing up in the “hill towns” of rural upstate New York, Renee finds herself in a first love romance with smooth as silk vocals beyond her 15 years. Steadily working towards big star status, while balancing out her school studies and sports, Miss Lussier has no doubt where she wants to be. Country fans will want to add her first album cut to their collection.
