Scopic is a hip hop producer/MC who was born and raised in Canada. He has been writing rhymes since 1990 and making beats since 1996. Although he has never claimed to be a savior of hip hop, he is a self-proclaimed preserver of hip hop. Scopic is part of a movement(which involves many MCs, DJs, producers, and other industry personnel) to take rap music back to when it was actually good. He feels that rap music peaked around 1993-94 when beats and rhymes apexed artisticly, and there was not as much pressure on artists to be overtly commercial. BLING BLING! Scopic pays little attention to modern music trends, and this is definitely reflected in his music, most of which has an underground, mid-nineties feel to it.
