In the year 2000, All Ties Severed was conceived in the dusty desert town of El Paso, Texas by Jon Castañeda. In El Paso, creativity breed''s rabidly in the mind of El the artists, musicians, and performers. In an effort to break from the norm, Castaneda and his friend, Adan Baca, created their own home studio in which they could develop their style and reconstruct themselves, seperating their ties to any musical preference.
Being former members of the now defunct Second Hand Human(hardcore political punk), their music contains elements of the punk and political music scene, but allows them much subtler nuances in which to bury their often obscure messages.
All Ties Severed is a way of letting them express as many forms of song experimentation as they possibly can. They have no imposed rules, so the screams can sometimes be interrupted by whispers, the loud drum can be drowned out by synths and soundscapes. This is the essence of All Ties Severed.
