With the paddle of the year 2000, San appeared with the public thanks to the Sokute group, who proposed already a new musical concept combining to soul music at the Haitian rhythms. With Sokute, it knew many experiments of scene in Port-with-Prince: Café Des Arts, French institute of Haiti, Roots Rock Reggae, Rolling Stone Café ; in Miami : Roots and Culture Festival ; et surtout au Canada : Francofolies de Montréal, Festival Vues D’Afrique, Clubs Balattou et Zest.
For these ten years of career, San came to present a new facet of the Haitian music to us. San returns now on the scene of the world music with its new band, SAN & GRIOT SPIRIT .This name refers, of course, to the musicians traditional poets and story tellers from of the African continent. It also fits in the line of the Haitian indigenism and the return to the roots of the Haitian culture.
