Details:
One part old time rock and roll and one part old timey, Bill Parker and His Motherscratchers are a hootin, hollerin, whammin, and jammin four man outfit hailing from Garden City, Michigan.
Call it honky-tonk, country, insurgent, Americana, or whatever you like, but Bill Parker and His Motherscratchers play their own whiskey-soaked brand of forlorn foot-stomping ditties.
Bill Parker and His Motherscratchers first formed in 1997 as a two-piece guitar team.
Arlo Pickens belted out the tunes and strummed an acoustic guitar while "Howlin" Hank Diesel played electric lead through a small practice amp.
They played to several sub-capacity crowds throughout southeast Michigan.
In December of 1999, The Reverend Ronnie "ronnie" Nashville was added on drums, playing a unique kit made of cans, bottles, and cardboard boxes.
In December of 2000, Rev. Ronnie switched to bass and "Shotgun" Jerry Bayou was drafted to play a real drum kit.
At the time of this writing, Bill Parker and His Motherscratchers can be found playing to various sub-capacity bars throughout southeast Michigan.
